How can I apply to Bay Atlantic University?

You need to fill out our online application form and submit all required documents in order to be considered for admission and a scholarship.

What documents are required to apply to the program?

MASTERS

Completed online application

Photocopy of photo ID (passport for international students)

Official bachelor’s degree transcript (or notarized copy)

Course-by-course evaluation of the transcript (for international students)

Bank statement showing adequate financial resources

Sponsorship letter (if bank statement is not in applicant’s name) (for international students)

Proof of English Proficiency (if non-native speaker)

Two (2) letters of recommendations (teachers, coaches, employers, etc.)

Application essay (essay prompt can be found on application)

BACHELORS

When is the application deadline for the program?

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The deadline for Spring 2019 is December 1st.

The deadline for Fall 2019 is August 1st.

What is the admission process?

Once you have submitted an application and all the necessary documents, the admissions committee will review your application. If accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter. International students will also receive their I-20 to apply for their study visa at the American Embassy in their country. Our office can assist international students with any questions regarding the visa process.

When is the start date of the program?

Fall Semester

The Fall semester usually begins the first week of September.

Spring Semester

The Spring semester usually begins the first week of January.

How much does the program cost?

MASTERS

For international students, the cost of the Master’s Degree programs (MBA, Cybersecurity, and Big Data Analytics) is $36,000 USD for two years.

BACHELORS

For international students, the cost of the Bachelor programs is $63,600 USD for four years.

What scholarships are available?

There are 6 types of scholarships that BAU offers (you can only apply for ONE)

Merit-based scholarships:
If you take the SAT or ACT exam (although these are not required for program application but used for scholarship application), our academic committee can review your score and give a scholarship based on your performance.

The “Huseyin Yucel Scholarship”:
Available for international students and can be up to 50%.

Global Scholarship Exam (GSE):
As of July 2019, students from Mongolia, Vietnam, and South Africa can take the GSE for a chance to get a 100% tuition scholarship.

Debt-Free DC Scholarship:
A 70% tuition scholarship available to all accepted DC residents.

BAU Global Scholarship:
Automatically granted to students transferring, or graduating, from BAU Global institutions.

Mentora College Scholarship:
Automatically granted to students transferring from Mentora College.

What do these scholarships cover?

Our scholarships cover tuition only, we don’t pay for flights, food, or accommodations. Please contact our office with any questions.

How long is the program?

MASTERS

The program takes 1.5 – 2 years to complete depending on the number of courses you take each semester.

BACHELORS

The program takes 4 years to complete (120 credits).

Is the program available for full-time and part-time?

International Students must take classes full-time.

Where is Bay Atlantic University located?

BAU is located in the heart of Washington, DC, just one block from the White House. The address is 1510 H St NW, Washington, DC 20005.

What language is the program taught in?

All programs and courses are taught in English. BAU offers ESL programs through Mentora College for those who need assistance.

Is the program available online?

BACHELORS

All Bachelor’s classes are held on campus. Classes are offered Monday through Friday in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

MASTERS

All Master’s programs are held on campus. Classes are offered Monday through Friday in the evening, and Saturdays.

When are classes held each day?

Classes are offered weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays.

Weekday Mornings: 9:00am – 12:00pm (9:00 – 12:00)

Weekday Afternoons: 1:00pm – 4:00pm (13:00 – 16:00)

Weekday Evenings: 6:00pm – 9:00pm (18:00 – 21:00)

Saturdays: 9:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm (13:00 – 16:00)
